Carolee,
What a nice change for you – Box of Chocolates!! Sort of like the abstract painting – so very different from what you usually tend to paint.
Was it refreshing to paint Box of Chocolates?
Went to the museum this morning to see your exhibit and was very pleased. Thought it was hung nicely as well.
When I’m at the museum working, I never seem to take the time to check out what is hanging in our gallery. Today was a good day to check out your show.
Keep up the good work even though you might be considering a slow down!!!
Ellen
Hi Ellen!
I thoroughly enjoyed painting “Box of Chocolates.” It brought back memories of when I received the gift and opened them up. They were so incredibly beautiful that I gasped. I knew I wanted to paint them but they wouldn’t last that long so I took a photo. And you’re correct, it is kind of abstract as if you didn’t know what it was, it might take you a bit to figure it out … after all they’re not exactly chocolate colored (thus the straight forward name of the painting) 🙂
I’m so glad that you took the time to see the show at the Benton County Museum and enjoyed it. I do want to get back and see it again (outside of the reception when it was so busy).
