I was looking at an image of a Edgar Degas ballerina painting recently and thought it would be fun to use something of his as inspiration for a painting. I looked at some of his work on line and came up with this sculpture “Spanish Dancer.”  I thought I could use incorporate this gesture.

  1. Love it Carolee! Im actually sitting on the deck here at our family house on the south coast of Spain right now, overlooking the Mediterranean sea so thought it was very fitting that you have painted a Spanish flamenco dancer, since im right at the heart of “flamenco country” here in Andalucia!
