This is a Caradon painting (which is a collaboration between myself and a good friend, Donna Beverly).  We each take turns working on the canvas, until we both decide it is finished.  We sign them “Caradon.”  This name is a combination of the first part of each our names.  Although we haven’t been doing a lot of these collaborative works lately we just finished this one.

Donna and some of her students are  having a show called “Dancing Paintbrushes” at the Benton County Museum in Philomath, Oregon from October 7 to November 26, 2011.   She wanted to include some of the Caradon pieces in the show.

  1. In looking at the other two pieces along with this one, you can really see a blending of the two styles. Glad that you showed all three.

I do wish I was closer; that would be a fun show to see:)

    • It is a pretty cool thing to do … collaborate like this. You need to be able to let go of controlling everything and trust that the other person will add their wonderful flair to the work. Donna does this … I like to say that she puts the magic in it!
