What kind of subject is this for a painting!??  I had no intention of painting this fellow when I snapped the photo yesterday.  The wasp was up against my outside window.  It was cold outside and I am sure that he felt the warmth from the inside.   When I looked at him more closely I could see how an entomologist could be fascinated by these amazing creatures.  I love patterns and this subject had a lot of naturally occurring patterns.

Sue’s dog, Lucy, is a small, very cute neighborhood dog.  I asked to take a few photos the other day when I saw them walking.  Since then, I have been sketching and trying to figure out how to capture this fluffy small lapsa poo.  I was worried that I might never be able to do it, but I’m pleased with the result.
