“Gentle Friend”

Some people have been wondering why I am painting cows. My studio faces a lovely farm with a herd of these gentle animals. It is a treat to see the calves bouncing and running and hearing the mothers call to them. I have painted this farm so many times, and the cows, the hay stacks, and the sheep. It is a treat to look out my windows and see them grazing.

I am visiting after liking your entry for DSFDF and wanted to tell you that I love your other work too. I think the cow series is terrific and what a great idea to collaborate with a friend on pieces. Sounds like great fun.
