I spent a few days at a workshop in Sisters in February.  The bad thing about work related travel is that you eat in restaurants alone.  The good thing about eating in restaurants alone is that you get to draw!

It amazes me at how little I need from my sketch book to make a painting.  These were two different tiny, very quick sketches that I made.  I was basically just doodling, but I decided that I liked enough about each figure to combine them into a painting.

I was in Seaside, Oregon for a painting show and conference at the beginning of April and had a partial ocean view from my hotel room.  It wasn’t the ocean view that I loved though, it was all the house rooftops that created an interesting pattern that I found intriguing.

He was created from a sketch I did last year. 

I have given 10% of the sale of this painting to the local humane society.
